Hello from Nick!
hello everyone! i know that it's been a long time since i last did
one of these. i have to get better at this whole technology thing!
well, things have been very busy since i last wrote. i'm still in the
studio finishing up the last few songs for the album. i expect that
it will be coming out next spring. as i said before, i think you all
are going to like it very much. it's definitely a step in a new
direction, but in a very good direction. i can't wait to get it out
there for everyone to hear.
i also had the opportunity to be a part of a great project with
diane warren and oprah winfrey. oprah produced a television movie
called "for one more day" and i was honored that she asked me to sing
the theme song for the movie. it is a song called "ordinary day" and
it was written by diane warren, the most prolific songwriter ever! i
hadn't worked with diane since 98 degrees first album in 1996, so it
was great to have the opportunity again. i will be performing the
song on the oprah winfrey show on december 5th, so check that out if
you get a chance and be sure to watch the movie on december 9th on
abc. it really is a good film. you can also download the song on
itunes if you want to.
i've also been involved in a few television projects recently. maybe
some of you saw me co hosting the tree lighting at Rockefeller center
in NYC. it was a lot of fun and a great way to get into the holiday
spirit. some of you may have also seen the promos on nbc for a show
called "clash of the choirs" that i'm a part of. it's going to be a
lot of fun. kelly rowland, michel bolton, patti labelle, and blake
shelton are also doing the show. each of us went back to our
hometowns and formed choirs that we will be competing with in NYC
starting on december 17th on nbc. the choirs will the be voted on by
the viewers throughout america and the winner will be decided on
december 20th. this is where you guys come in. i need everyone to
vote for my choir and help us win the "clash of the choirs"
championship. i'm really proud of the choir i have from cincinnati
and i can't wait for everyone to hear them starting on december 17th.
i also have a couple of tv shows that i'm producing which should be
coming out in the next 6 months and i'll tell you more about that later.
as always, i want to thank everybody for your continued support and
wish everybody a very safe and happy holiday season!

I understand that you are a high profile person and for that reason you may believe that it gives you the right to "knock" certain things that you may not like. But, when people are negative toward americans, Im sure you would take offense to it.....just as I have taken offense to your comments towards Canadian christmas trees.
Congratulations on your success and everything, but it really doesn't mean anything when there are people in the world who think you are a complete jerk because of things you say.
I recently saw you signing a song on oprah (as I work in a hospital and was in the patient's room with them at the time), promoting her movie about "one last day" or something to that effect, and I thought you did a great job. You have worked hard to get where you are today and Im sure it's rewarding and gratifying....
But, perhaps you should stop being such a smart ass and think about how you want to come across to all people (canadians included...). You may not like Canada, you may never come here, or you may want nothing to do with us.....but, my advice to you would be to keep it to yourself. It was completely offensive and I for one will never watch, buy, or have anything to do with anything that you are associated with.

I have to commend u on how great of a job you did on handeling the public, and media when things wen down with you and Jessica. You handeled it like a TRUE MAN. I know breakups are hard enough to deal with, but when the media gets involved it makes everything 10 times worse. Listening to your songs have really given me the strength I needed to move on and let go. Jessica has no idea what she lost when she lost u. I would have done anything I possibly could to keep the marriage together but she thought the grass was greener on the side and look where she is now and look where u r!!!!Jessica totally let fame take over and she lost a great husband, friend, companion.... She will realize it and when she does it will be to late. Anyways I am sure you really don't want to hear anymore about Jess but I had to give my opinion!! Hi! i just wanted to say that i am your biggest fan. I don't know if you remember me but i met you October 12, 2006 at Nokia theatre show. I was the make a wish child. I just want you to know what an amazing person your are. i watched you on clash of choir's and you were great. i was watching you direct your choir and i saw all that energy that you have and it is amazing you were up there dancing and moving it was so great to see. i wish i had that much energy. anyway i don't know if you respond to these things but if you do it would be great to hear from you.

Congrats on winning Clash of the Choirs! Everytime they would pan the camera over to you I would have the biggest smile on my face and I would giggle at all the funny comments you said. My husband would just roll his eyes at me. I'm glad to hear that you have a new album comming out soon. I think everyone is still in that "there is still hope for them" phase. It bothers me that people say mean things about Vanessa and seem to think that your X deserves another chance, and I'm nobody. I can't imagine what it's like to be you, having to be reminded by your own fans about someone that hurt you. I hope that your new album is full of songs with the message that you are over it and better off cause damn....some people just won't let go. And Vanessa, thank you for making Nick happy. My husband passed away on dec 5 and I took the day off and read you were going to be on Oprah, so I tuned in and when you sang "ordinary day" it hit me like a ton of bricks. Cincinnati Childrens Hospital
I just wanted to let you know that my son, Nicolas, is 5 years old and has Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). It is a fatal disease that affects about 3,500 boys and only affects boys because it is an x linked chromosome disease. Nicolas goes to Cincinnati Children's Memorial Hospital even though we live in the suburbs of Chicago, because Dr. Brenda Wong is a leading neurologist in the DMD community. We are very blessed to have her as Nicolas' neurologist.
When I saw that you were going to be on clash of the choirs and that you chose the hospital as your charity - I was thrilled. It is a wonderful hospital and I am very glad to see that you won and that they benefited from it.

I just wanted to congratulate you on your big on Clash of the Choirs your dedication and encouragement for the team paid off!
After a 2.5yr struggle to conceive my second child I gave birth to a healthy baby boy on December 7th, 2007...we had to bring him to Childrens Hospital here in Boston for a minor reason, but just looking around seeing all these sick children and infants was very touching and brought me to tears...
What a great charity you chose to help so many sick infants in the NICU and to give them all a new amd healthy begining on life!
I have to mention that I named my son Nicholas (Nick for short) after you! and If he grows up to be half the great man you are I will be PROUD!
Keep up the great music you truly have a great voice and a beautiful face..LOL!

I just wanted to say I really like your music and can't wait to hear new album! I like 98 Degrees as well and stil hope some day you guys make more songs. Your ballads are great, such a great voice you have.. it would be cool if you make some songs good for dancing...faster songs...for this summer that would be cool.....
