Nick Lachey On Ice!
Pop star, Nick Lachey, previously the lead singer of boy band 98 Degrees and TV personality, will perform live at this special Disson Skating music & skating production and will be promoted in Los Angeles by acclaimed global concert producer, Danny O’Donovan. The world class cast of skaters includes Olympic Silver medalist Sasha Cohen, 2008-2007 U.S. Champion Evan Lysacek, 2008 U.S. Champion Mirai Nagasu, 2006 World Champion and 2007 U.S. Champion Kimmie Meissner, 2008 World Champion Jeffrey Buttle, two-time U.S. National Pairs Champions Rena Inoue and John Baldwin, and 2008-2004 five-time U.S. Ice Dancing Champions Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto.
Lachey’s super-stardom as pop singer and TV personality began as the writer and front-man of the boy band 98 Degrees, selling 10 million albums worldwide and charting several top-forty hits. His solo album “What’s Left of Me” was certified gold and topped the Billboard 200 charts at 200. His on-screen endeavors include the TV series “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica,” with then wife, pop star Jessica Simpson, as well as directing the Cincinnati Choir that won the NBC reality competition “Clash of the Choirs.” He currently hosts the ABC reality show, “High School Musical.”
Lachey will lend the power and grace of his voice as these top figure skaters perform their routines with athletic prowess and skillful mastery. Included in this musical line-up are special guests Almost Amy, consisting of two professional dancers from the hit TV series, “Dancing with the Stars” Mark Ballas and Derek Hough. Ballas won the 2008 “Dancing with the Stars” with partner Kristi Yamaguchi.
Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and actor, Mario, will bring a little R&B to the ice, with his popular, hip-hop inspired music. In 2002, at age 15, Mario released his debut album leading to 700,000 copies in sales. His lead single, “Just A Friend (2002)” helped propel the album to success while setting the scene for the 2005 release of his second album, “Turning Point.” The album sold more than 2 million copies and the song “Let Me Love You” is one of the highest selling ringtones to date, with 1.6 million downloads. Mario has been honored with 2005’s Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Award for Top R&B/Hip-Hop Single, a Billboard Music Award for Hot R7B/Hip-Hop Single of the Year and many more nominations from the Grammys, BET Awards, Vibe Awards, MOBO Awards and the Soul Train Music Awards. Like host Kristi Yamaguchi, Mark Ballas and Derek Hough, Mario appeared this past season on the hit TV series, “Dancing with the Stars.”
As part of the program, members of the skating cast will also visit with children and families at a Ronald McDonald House® and help promote World Children’s Day at McDonald’s®, which takes place annually on November 20th.
On World Children’s Day participating McDonald’s restaurants across the United States will donate one dollar from the sale of select menu items to RMHC. In addition, between November 10 and 20, customers can help support the charity through the Give A Hand® in-restaurant fundraising program. When customers purchase a paper Give A Hand for one dollar, funds raised will go directly to RMHC. The colorful paper hands will be displayed in participating restaurants throughout the fundraising time period, inviting the community to show their support.

Hello from Nick!
one of these. i have to get better at this whole technology thing!
well, things have been very busy since i last wrote. i'm still in the
studio finishing up the last few songs for the album. i expect that
it will be coming out next spring. as i said before, i think you all
are going to like it very much. it's definitely a step in a new
direction, but in a very good direction. i can't wait to get it out
there for everyone to hear.
i also had the opportunity to be a part of a great project with
diane warren and oprah winfrey. oprah produced a television movie
called "for one more day" and i was honored that she asked me to sing
the theme song for the movie. it is a song called "ordinary day" and
it was written by diane warren, the most prolific songwriter ever! i
hadn't worked with diane since 98 degrees first album in 1996, so it
was great to have the opportunity again. i will be performing the
song on the oprah winfrey show on december 5th, so check that out if
you get a chance and be sure to watch the movie on december 9th on
abc. it really is a good film. you can also download the song on
itunes if you want to.
i've also been involved in a few television projects recently. maybe
some of you saw me co hosting the tree lighting at Rockefeller center
in NYC. it was a lot of fun and a great way to get into the holiday
spirit. some of you may have also seen the promos on nbc for a show
called "clash of the choirs" that i'm a part of. it's going to be a
lot of fun. kelly rowland, michel bolton, patti labelle, and blake
shelton are also doing the show. each of us went back to our
hometowns and formed choirs that we will be competing with in NYC
starting on december 17th on nbc. the choirs will the be voted on by
the viewers throughout america and the winner will be decided on
december 20th. this is where you guys come in. i need everyone to
vote for my choir and help us win the "clash of the choirs"
championship. i'm really proud of the choir i have from cincinnati
and i can't wait for everyone to hear them starting on december 17th.
i also have a couple of tv shows that i'm producing which should be
coming out in the next 6 months and i'll tell you more about that later.
as always, i want to thank everybody for your continued support and
wish everybody a very safe and happy holiday season!

Hello everyone!
Hello everyone! I've never been one to be especially savvy on the computer, but I thought I'd give this whole "blogging" thing a try. I hope this can be a way for me to stay closer to all of my fans who have so faithfully supported me for so long. I promise you all that this will be written by me and only me and will hopefully give everyone a little more insight into not only my career, but who I am as well. Let me start by saying thank you. I know it's said all the time and sometimes feels a little predictable, but I really do thank all of you. The support I received on the last album and tour was incredible and a real dream come true for me. That album was a very important project for me both personally and professionally and you all made it happen.
So, what have I been doing since? Well, I'm back in the studio again working on the next project. Every time you go into the studio, there is degree of uncertainty to it. I never know how things are going to go, what I'm going to feel like writing about, what kind of musical direction things will take, etc. so far, I am incredibly excited about where this next project is going. There is an energy to the writing right now which is truly awesome. I can't wait for you all to hear it. I'm hoping to have a new single out by the end of the year and an album out by early 2008. It feels like that's a long way off, but it'll be here before you know it.
Anyway, it's going to be a very exciting fall and I can't wait to get it started! Hope to see you all very soon.
